UNCOMMON Stock uses only the highest quality wood and aluminum materials to frame your print. Each length of moulding is hand inspected to ensure the highest level of craftsmanship possible.
Framing will enhance overall appearance and make the print last longer. You are probably looking to purchase a frame that compliments your picture while offering protection from dirt, particles, dust, insects, etc. Any number of framing combinations will work for your artwork, but some choices are better than others.
Adding a mat to your framed art enhances the appearance of the final piece and is the perfect touch to give your framed print the visual richness you desire. We use only high quality acid-free mats for all framed orders. All mats are 100% cotton rag and are flawlessly bevel cut - these high quality mats provide a clean bright bevel edge (SAY NO! to creme or brown colored edges). Glazing (Glass or Acrylic)
The acrylic we use is specially designed for picture framing. The acrylic options have outstanding optical clarity and have a lightweight impact resistance. The non-glare acrylic minimizes glare and reflection for viewing in areas of high or direct exposure to light. Whichever you choose, you can be assured an optimum level of clarity and cleanliness.
Hanging a frame in your child's room? Choose from the acrylic options. This glazing is shatterproof, a great precaution for your child's safety and is a recomendation you can't go wrong with. For an additional child safe or non glass format check out our Lamanage options. For more information click here.
Care & Handling
Glass: Dampen a cloth or paper towel with any glass cleaner to clean the glass on your frame. DO NOT spray directly on the glass, thus allowing the liquid to possibly seep into the frame. Wipe clean until dry.
Acrylic: This type of surface should be cleaned with a soft non-abrasive cloth dampened with luke-warm soap water. Wipe clean until dry. CAUTION: Chemical cleaners such as window cleaners or kitchen cleaners can harm this surface.
